Evaluation

As my evaluation I am making a powerpint which I will present to my group. My powerpoint will include all the points from the evaluation questions, and will be backed up with pictures to show the typical conventions of our documentary. As well as information I will show some documentary makers who have inspired us to conform and challenge certain techniques.
Supporting Piece

This is my second supporting piece, i have chosen to do a magazine interview. In this interview the interviewee will be Ellie I will be asking her a variety of questions, such as what made them the documentary, what sort of conventions they used and etc. I tried to make the layout as readable as possible by spacing out the answers and trying not write too much information.

Supporting Piece- Group
For one of our supporting pieces we decided that as a group we could make a radio advert. We chose this as our piece, because we knew we could do it quickly but affectively. Whilst Ellie wrote the dialogue, I volunteered to read it in the final advert. The process of recording the advert was simple and easy by using GarageBand this process was easy for us, as we have used the Macs for nearly a year now. Before recording the final one. After we had recorded it, we looked into adding different sound affects to make it more affective, and more realstic. In the end we settled on adding a Police Siren affect towards the end of the dialogue, to add the effect of it being set in a real crash. With GarageBand you can change things like the speed, and the pitch of the voice recording. After trying others speeds and pitches, we decided that as our top is on a serious matter, the advert would be more affective if it was just a plan advert with no effects, other than the police siren.

Supporting Piece- documentary review

I am currently creating my documentary review, which is looking at the postives and negatives of our documentary, the negatives will be what I think we could've improved on our documentary. By doing earlier research into documentary reviews, I am trying to use the same language, and use the same points that they made in their reviews. I am obviously not copying these reviews as they are much different to mine. But they are helpful in finding out what's included in a typical documentary review.

Statistics
As part of our research we all did extensive research into car crash statistics. We felt that these statistics in this film were the most affective, and would have most of an impact on our audience. These statistics have been placed in our final documentary.
